This afternoon we had people from my side of the family over for snacks and tours of our house. It was really fun to have lots of family there! No one had been to our house before except my uncle Mark. Here are some pictures…

The barrier between the two cats has been opened. They mostly stay on “their side” of the house, but the line between their territories is starting to blur. Ashes and Chloe mostly ignore each other, but when they face off it is ears back batting-time. Luckily, the hissing has definitely subsided. We are told by the experts to be patient, so we will keep holding out hope that the two can be friends.
Meanwhile, progress on the house continues slowly. We have a blue front door and lots of new smoke detectors. Our long list is slowly dwindling.
