introducing phil ellena street

We bought a house today! It is a row home on Phil Ellena Street in Mt. Airy. Tomorrow is our 2 yearhouse-small.jpg anniversary and this was a momentous way to celebrate. It is always a little nerve-wracking to see a house once all the stuff is cleared out of it, but there were no scary surprises and we actually liked it more. All of the plans we have for it are going to make such a great difference.

After signing all of the closing papers, we put on work clothes and went to work on the lovely green carpeting. It was incredibly dusty and dirty but the floor underneath has great potential. There is even an inlaid pattern that goes around each of the rooms. Click here for before & afters.

Congratulations! That’s fantastic! Good choice on removing the carpet too… it looks so much better now.

Congrats on your anniversary and new house! I can’t wait to see it in person. If you would like an extra set of hands, Justin and I could come help you some day. Grammy just said she would like to help, too, when you mom is here. Just let us know when!

Looks really terrific! Can’t wait to come check it out… i’ll look at my calendar and figure out a time to come help. I bet ripping out the greeness was equally satisfying… if not more… than the actual lease signing! The hardwood will look incredible.

Who in their right minds would cover that floor? And with crazy green carpet? It will look downright regal when it’s done.
