searching for a good cause

goodtree.png goodsearch.gif

Imagine that every time you searched for something on the internet, some money was donated to a charity. I found out that this is possible when you use Goodtree.com or Goodsearch.com. Both websites are free and combine other search engines to help you find what you are looking for. I’ve been trying them out today and they are quite effective - plus, I’m donating to charity at the same time!

frolicking in the park

civilwarmonument.jpgThis weekend was gorgeous! Yesterday David and I decided to explore Fairmount Park, one of the largest city parks in the country. We randomly came upon a beautiful Civil War Memorial statue (see picture), a small cherry blossom orchard, plenty of space for frisbee, and some good hiking terrain. Even so, the area we explored was only a tiny percentage of the total property. This calls for future exploratory missions.

meeting the baby

Jill & BrodyLast night David and I went over to my grandma’s house and got to see our family from Seattle and a new baby! My cousin Jill and her husband brought their three-week old son, Brody Scott, for us to meet. Plus we got to hang out with some bigger kids: James & Conrad Nyce and my aunt & uncle, Mark & Heiki-Lara. Click on the image for more pictures. I also included some bonus Chloe pics.

busy with good things

David and I have a lot going on this week. For one thing, he is on a jury and will be deliberating over a trial for part of the week. Then we have relatives in town who we’ll get to see on Wednesday night. I also have two nights of Comedy Sportz rehearsal and a concert on Friday. I have a feeling this week will go quickly!

We spent Easter in Lancaster with David’s family. All of the siblings were home so it was nice to be together and cozy in a warm house. Chloe passed out as usual when she got home after having so much fun.
